Realizing small to mid-sized companies often need the expertise of a chief financial officer but cannot afford the financial investment it takes to hire a quality full-time CFO, Mike founded PlusPoint Consulting in 2010, and retired in 2021.

Mike helped companies successfully plan and manage growth for more than 20 years as CFO, COO, and CEO at organizations including Urban Airship, Open Source Development Labs and Bioject Medical labs, to name a few. His experience in public, private, early-stage, venture-backed and not-for-profit enterprises, coupled with his reputation as a mentor and leader, has spanned industry segments including SaaS, medical devices, hi-tech, manufacturing and service delivery.

He was a master at providing a CFO Executive Team Presence via strategy and business planning, capital raising, engagement oversight, financial planning and analysis, board reporting and management, as well as team development.

It’s no surprise Mike is known for providing support and encouragement while creating structure and organization – in his early 20’s, he spent 5 years working with emotionally disturbed children structuring therapeutic programs. He is now actively enjoying his other passions to become an avid golfer and get more hiking into his busy life.
